Owing to the spate of insecurity in the Northern part of Nigeria,about 6000 security officials have been designated for the return leg of Nigeria\’s African Youth championship qualifiers against Tanzania which will be played in Kaduna.
It is understood that the mammoth security men set aside for the game is to help forestall any untoward occurrence,and also to help secure the lives who will be at the game.
Media Officer of the Nigerian U20 male football team, Samm Audu, said on Friday that: \”Officials disclosed that as many as 6,000 security men will be on duty at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.\”
Audu also quoted a police officer as saying: \’\”Everything is being done to ensure the safety of everyone involved in this match.\”\’
Nigeria have a 2-0 first leg advantage which they got when they played in Dar es Salaam two weeks ago.
