Harry Redknapp has resigned from his post as manager of Queens Park Rangers .
Redknapp is stepping down from his position, just a day after the close of the transfer window, drawing up insinuations about his unhappiness with the club\’s dealings.
However, Reknapp said that he is stepping down in order to have a surgery on his knee.
“Sadly I need immediate surgery on my knee which is going to stop me from doing my job in the coming weeks\”.
Owner of the club, Tony Fernandes thanked Redknapp for his contribution to the club.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Harry for everything he has done for QPR during his time in charge,\” Fernandes said.
“We part on good terms and I would personally like to wish him all the best for the future.”
QPR are 19th on the Premier League table and have just 19 points from 23 games.
