Mugabe addresses the nation, Says he is still fully in Charge

Zimbabwe’s embattled President and one of Africa’s longest serving leaders, Robert Mugabe, in a long speech yesterday evening addressed citizens of his country, but dashed hopes of resignations by critics and other observers.

Mugabe who further reiterated that he will oversee the process of a national convention, also said “we must resolve to forgive atrocities both real and perceived in a comradely Zimbabwean spirit”.

Earlier on Sunday, The 93 year old war veteran and president was sacked as the Ruling Zanu PF leader after a long meeting by top officials of the party.
